They require a Controller to champion the company’s commercial and financial strategy, while working directly with the founder & CEO. Responsibilities
First Month: You will take ownership of the full accounts receivable process, including invoice preparation, collections, and A/R maintenance. Once a clear understanding and direction is achieved, you will integrate all learned information into Accumatica and spearhead our integration into an ERP system.
First Six Months: You will own the monthly, quarterly, and year‐end close processes to ensure timely, accurate, GAAP compliant accounting. You will set accounting policies and procedures and provide guidance on technical accounting. You will assist in annual audits, taxes, and other aspects of compliance.
First Year: You will work with the Executive Team to evolve our reporting to match any changes to manufacturing and provide any solutions to our current sales and production. You will own and prepare accounting processes for scale, from automation and financial integrations to internal processes and controls. You will be an impactful early finance hire at a rapidly growing ammunition company that believes we have the potential to be a once in a generation company.
Some travel to Texas will be required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in Accounting or Finance. CPA preferred.
7‐10 plus years of managerial accounting and financial management experience.
Tech savvy, ability to learn new software quickly and thoroughly.
Previous experience in manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, commercial services (3rd party logistics is a plus).
Ability to multi‐task in a fast‐paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time.
Prior experience with ERP systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, strong interpersonal skills.
Willingness to accept task ownership and new responsibilities in a fast‐growing environment.
Previous experience at a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Accounting Firm (preferred).
Prior experience at a PE firm or portfolio company (preferred).
